I went to work today.  It was very busy, just chaotic.  I had to deal with 5 patient complaints.  I wish I could report that the patients were unjustified in their complaints but I could not.  The tragedy was it all could be prevented if the nurses would just communicate with them and not try to avoid interacting with the patients.  I had to change 2 Rns assignment because the patients’ fired them. I worked hard to bring the patients’ confidence back.  I usually do not get suck in to the negative vibes but I really hurt today.  The storm aggravated my fibromyalgia.  I felt achy like I had a bad flu, My lower back was very painful.  I barely had time for lunch but low blood sugar forced me to take a much needed break.  Well, enough belly aching.  It was just a long 8 hours and to top it off , I volunteer to go into work early tomorrrow.  I was just working 4 hours and now have to work 8 hours.  I did not realize that I had to work Thursday and Friday.  Although Friday, I am schedule for a workshop day to do the schedule. Whoopee!   (insert sarcasm here).
