A new CPAP machine

I got my new Cpap machine today.  It very easy to learn and I am eager to try it.  I spoke to the doctor regarding my results.  I have sleep hypoxia and not apnea.  My airway does not shut down but at the base of my lungs is the source of the problem.  It is not related to weight but with poor muscle tone during sleep, my airway get too relaxed and collapse. Normal satuation of oxygen is 90% or higher.  My levels fell to 77%.  I’ll let you know how it works.  The doctor says that it should help my breathing, high blood pressure, diabetes, depressions and fatigue.  I am looking forward to being a new or at least more alert woman,  They say that most people can lose 20-30 pounds after starting the CPAP.  It related to REM sleep.  More to come…..............

During the deep stages of NREM sleep, the body repairs and regenerates tissues, builds bone and muscle, and appears to strengthen the immune system.( from WebMD site.) REM is rapid eye movement which happenis different stages of sleep.
