It’s gardening time.

It was such a wonderful day today.  The weather perfect. I caught the gardening bug.  So I took Mom with me to store.  You guessed it. I bought plants, I felt a little guilty until Mom said it would be nice for Carol to sit outside in the new garden. Wow! she knows just what to say.

Halloween

Today was Halloween.  My favorite time of the year.  I even had 2 weeks off before the event, but unforturately the spirit did not come until the night before.  This is why I did not decorate at all.  Bummer.  We did have the traditional get-together with the family,  This included the menu of choice potato soup and chill, with all the trimmings.  It was nice to have everyone here.  Mike’s friend Liz and her son, Wesley joined us.  Alex dressed as an angel, I guess he was studying the wolf in sheep’s clothing dichotomy of human nature.  He looked great. So past the night with me slightly disappointed in having not decorating or dressing up… Maybe next year.

Continuing Cpap adventure

This is the third night for my cpap machine.  I found it easy to use and comfortable to wear .  Except for an odd breathlessness in the morning , I am sleeping well and deeply with none of the usually feelings of restlessness.  I wake alert ,  fresh and energetic.  I have not needed my usual nap in the afternoon.  Who
knows.  I may have energy to actually do what I want   grin

A new CPAP machine

I got my new Cpap machine today.  It very easy to learn and I am eager to try it.  I spoke to the doctor regarding my results.  I have sleep hypoxia and not apnea.  My airway does not shut down but at the base of my lungs is the source of the problem.  It is not related to weight but with poor muscle tone during sleep, my airway get too relaxed and collapse. Normal satuation of oxygen is 90% or higher.  My levels fell to 77%.  I’ll let you know how it works.  The doctor says that it should help my breathing, high blood pressure, diabetes, depressions and fatigue.  I am looking forward to being a new or at least more alert woman,  They say that most people can lose 20-30 pounds after starting the CPAP.  It related to REM sleep.  More to come…..............
